Traffic reports indicate that the junction of St Margarets Road and Ballymun Road is experiencing a power outage, adding to the usual congestion. The N3 approaching the M50 is notably busy from Mulhuddart, while the N7 is facing slow movement all the way back to Newlands Cross. If you’re hoping for a smooth ride on the M50, be prepared for slowdowns between J7 Lucan and J11 Tallaght. Northbound traffic isn’t much better, with some bunching occurring around J4 Ballymun.
Richmond Road remains busy, but thankfully, it’s still moving towards Ballybough Road. On Church Street, traffic is also slow, extending all the way back to North King Street. If you’re headed towards the coastal areas, be mindful: the Rock Road at Temple Hill and Booterstown is heavily congested, especially when making that frustrating right turn from Stillorgan Road to Anglesea Road.
In our view, this congestion reminds us that the only thing moving faster than the traffic this morning might be your favorite coffee running out at that local café again. Seriously though, it’s like our roads had a team huddle and decided to play a game of ‘let’s see how patient the drivers can be today’.
